The optimal time to visit Fagu is between May and October. During this period, the temperature ranges from 15 to 30 degrees Celsius, and the weather is ideal for experiencing the town’s natural beauty. During these months, you will witness the beautiful sight of apple orchards in full bloom.

Fagu is an ideal destination for snow lovers, particularly during the months of November to February. During this time, the town is covered in a thick layer of snow, which beautifully contrasts with the green landscape. During the winter season, many tourists visiting Shimla and Kufri make it a point to visit Fagu to experience the snowfall.     Cheog is a small town situated 4 kilometres in the lower region of Fagu. Nestled among towering mountain peaks and verdant forests, this location is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat to unwind. This village provides a calm and welcoming environment where you can enjoy solitude and a sense of belonging. Besides trekking and hiking, there are not many other activities available. However, a small market offers sweet shops and local Himachali food.

A signboard on the right-hand side of the road indicates Cheog from Fagu. After that, continue driving for 3 kilometres, and you will come across another sign board indicating Gadharav. If you take that road for 2 km or continue until you reach the dead-end, you will arrive at the Cheog. If you do not have a vehicle, you can take a taxi to Cheog.

How To Reach Fagu
If you’re travelling by road, Fagu can be reached via NH-44 and NH-5, approximately 360 KM from New Delhi. The journey takes around 8 to 9 hours to complete. You can reach Fagu by driving your vehicle directly or taking a bus from Delhi to Shimla. Fagu is situated only 18 kilometres away from Shimla and can be easily reached by taxi or cab.

If you plan to travel by train, you’ll be pleased to know that Shimla Railway Station is conveniently situated only 20 kilometres away from Fagu. You can easily take a taxi or cab to Fagu from there.

The Jubbar-Hatti airport in Shimla is located only 35 kilometers away from Fagu, making it easily accessible by flight. From there, reaching Fagu by rental car or taxi is easy.
