Digital creator and travel vlogger Savvy Fernweh talks about exploring the South East Asian Islands

These incredible islands, she says, give people a travel experience to remember for a lifetime.

There are tons of talented beings working across different sectors worldwide, vying to make their mark in the same with the genuine aim to reach the highest of the highs in their respective niches. Do all of them go ahead in having the edge over others in their industries? Well, there definitely have been a few, and those individuals and professionals have never shied away from taking the right risks at the right time in their journeys to reach where they are today. Digital creator and travel vlogger Savitri Roy, aka Savvy Fernweh, did exactly that with her travel partner Anky, who today, as couple vloggers and travel lovers, are taking over countries and inspiring so many out there.

Currently, speaking to a leading publication, they talked about exploring the South East Asian Islands and highlighted these islands can give people travel experiences they will want to remember for the rest of their lives. They say that South East Asia is one of the most beautiful regions in the world and is home to so many incredible islands.

  • Bali, Indonesia: It is known as the Island of the Gods for a reason, Savvy says. It has many beautiful volcanoes, mountains, tropical beaches, ocean, rice paddies and much more. Hence, it serves as a perfect weekly getaway, making for the best itinerary with places to visit like Sebatu and Ubud, Sanur, Canggu and more.
  • Langkawi, Malaysia: This is another beautiful island in the Andaman Sea, which is around 30km from the northwest coast of Malaysia. It is a great accessible island that people can visit all year round and have stunning white sand beaches. Its fun activities include the vertigo-inducing SkyBridge, the Langkawi Cable Car, duty-free shopping in Kuah, and more.
  • Bohol, the Philippines: Savvy and Anky point out how people hardly know about islands beyond Indonesia and Malaysia, and so they want to draw people’s attention toward this beautiful island in the Philippines, which is the 10th largest in the country. People can also find Tarsier, the smallest and shyest monkey worldwide. It is also famous for its Chocolate Hills, which can be reached by scooter.
  • Phu Quoc, Vietnam: This is another hidden gem in South East Asia, 3km off the Cambodian coast, but it belongs to Vietnam. People love travelling by scooter on their roads and visit Sao beach, Dinh Cau Rock, Ho Quoc Pagoda and more.

Savvy Fernweh (@savvy_fernweh) and Anky as Mumbaikars had started travel vlogging (https://www.youtube.com/@SavvyFernweh) as a hobby in 2018 with their YouTube channel. Since then, this couple has travelled to over ten countries and many states in India. They want to keep motivating people through their content to pack their bags to get to these hidden gems of the world and experience what life can offer them.
